After public consultation, the State Intellectual Property Office approved the amendments to the “Guidance for Patent Examination” originally issued on 2010. The new amendments should in the intention of the legislator,  provide the competent officials with more tools on how to recognize patent applications that satisfy the requirements of novelty, innovation and industrial implementation: in fact, such amendments focus on how to discern from patent applications (either for design, utility models or invention) non original and original, and on what proofs and means may utilized in such preliminary assessment.

The amendments will be retroactively implemented from October 15, 2013.
