The State Food and Drug Administration recently issued a Circular on further tighten the supervision on production of alcoholic beverages. Such Circular, by one side provides directive and instructions to local authorities on increasing the supervision of alcohol manufacturers (with special regards on verifying the use of appropriate packaging and production methods) and by the other side providing stringent requirements for above mentioned manufacturers on safe production of alcoholic beverages: among  such requirements, we can here list the prohibition of  using pipes, containers or packaging containing plasticizes, implementation of procedures for the detection and control of plasticizes in the raw and auxiliary materials,  the use of food additives within the limited amount only, implement procedures and routine inspections regarding methanol and cyanide levels, and compulsory guidelines for the labeling of the products, with sanctions for labeling containing false information.
